Software Engineer, Platform Technologies
Blizzard Entertainment is looking for a talented programmer to work on core technology that will be leveraged across all Blizzard Entertainment games. This technology includes product/community launchers, installers, automated testing systems, and data distribution systems, among others. The ideal candidate will be a good communicator, be able to balance requirements against implementation, and have the ability to envision and help design workflows. This role gives an exciting opportunity to be involved on programming projects that are utilized across all current and future Blizzard Entertainment products, including World of Warcraft.

Requirements:
- 3+ years experience in C++
- 1+ years programming in Perl, Python, Ruby, or Lua
- Strong background in two or more of these APIs: Win32, Mach, Cocoa, BSD, Linux, sockets, or STL
Responsibilities:
- Develop common internal systems libraries for Blizzard Entertainment tools and games.
- Develop systems such as the patcher, installer, downloader, and launcher for all Blizzard Entertainment games
- Provide continued development support for Blizzard Entertainment legacy games, including StarCraft, Warcraft III, and Diablo II.
- Develop internal automation tools such as build servers, unit test frameworks, and game testing tools.
Pluses:
- AI programming experience
- Technical writing experience
- Scrum/Agile experience
- Familiarity with Blizzard Entertainment games
