Web Scripting Engineer
Blizzard Entertainment has an immediate opening for a web scripting engineer. The ideal candidate is a highly technical individual who takes pride in the organization, cleanliness, maintainability, and efficiency of his or her code, and who has extensive experience coding fast, optimized, and dynamic web user interfaces using technologies like XHTML, CSS, JavaScript, ActionScript and XML/XSLT.
Requirements
- Strong ability in coding web pages with standards-compliant, cross-browser compatible XHTML and CSS code
- Extensive experience leveraging front-end scripting languages (such as JavaScript) to create dynamic web interfaces
- Deep knowledge of web page optimization techniques
- Passion for web design and gaming
Plusses:
- Knowledge of XML/XSLT and AJAX
- Experience with WAP and coding web pages for mobile devices
- Experience programming interfaces and applications in Flash using ActionScript
