Paid Character Name Change Procedure

Before performing a Paid Character Name Change, please review the Paid Character Name Change FAQ located here.
Simply follow the steps below to process a Paid Character Name Change.
1. From the main World of Warcraft page (www.worldofwarcraft.com), you can access Account Management two ways:

2. Log into Account Management using your User Name and Password.
*Note: Blizzard Employees will NEVER ask you for your Password.

If a Blizzard Authenticator is attached to your account, you will be prompted to enter the 6-digit code to complete the login process. If you would like information on the Blizzard Authenticator, please click here.

3. After logging into Account Management, click on "Paid Name Change" located under "Paid Services".

4. Completely review "Things to Know Before You Start" and the World of Warcraft Naming Policy.

5. Select a Character from the realm drop-down menus.

6. After selecting a realm, a list of all characters on that realm will appear. Select "Change Name" of the character whose name you wish to change.

7. Enter the New Character Name. Your New Character Name cannot contain special characters and must follow the World of Warcraft Naming Policy.

If the name you select does not meet the requirements or is in violation of our naming policy you will get this error:

If the name you select is in use by another player, you may receive this error:

8. If the name chosen does not violate our Naming Policy and is available, review the "Restrictions & Disclaimers". Once you review the Restrictions and Disclaimers, type "I Agree" in the box provided.

9. Enter your Payment Information.

10. Success! You have successfully changed the name of your character.
