Blizzard Store FAQ



Do I need a Battle.net Account to buy something from the online Blizzard Store?

Yes. Making a purchase from the Blizzard Store requires you to log in with a Battle.net account. If you do not have a Battle.net account when attempting to make a purchase, you will be prompted to complete the appropriate steps in the Account Creation process before final checkout. Please see the Battle.net Account FAQ for more details on how to create an account and the other benefits.


How much does shipping cost?

Shipping costs depend on a combination of factors including the shipping method, the weight of the order, and the distance shipped. Make sure you're at the regional version of the Blizzard Store – North America, Europe, or Korea – closest to your destination address for the speediest and most economical shipping. You can switch your regional version of the store from the drop-down menu on the top right.


Where can I ship my Blizzard Store orders?

Orders from the Blizzard Store can only be shipped to a physical address. We cannot provide shipping to any PO Box, APO or FPO (military addresses). We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.


What shipment options are there and how long do they take?

There are three shipping options:

Ground: Orders should generally arrive in 8 to 10 business days (may be shorter based on location).

Next-Day Standard: Orders should generally arrive in 1 to 2 business days for items currently in stock; please anticipate up to 24 hours for packaging during business hours.

International: Rates and times may vary.


Do you ship internationally?

Yes, the Blizzard Store accepts international orders.
The regional version of the store you place an order from determines the origin for shipping purposes. For example, if you are visiting the Korean version of the Blizzard Store and place an order to ship to the United States, the order will be considered international and thus international rates and shipping times will apply.


How long does international shipping take and how much does it cost?

International orders can take up to 4 to 6 weeks for delivery. The cost varies by distance, customs laws, and other factors. You are responsible for any applicable tariffs and/or taxes associated with your order, and may be required to pay additional charges on delivery.


How can I find my tracking information?

When your order ships, we will send a confirmation email that includes a tracking number. You can enter this number at the shipping provider's website to view your tracking information. Once available, you can also find your tracking number from the Order History section of Battle.net Account Management.


I live in the United States, but my order says that it will be shipping internationally. Why is this happening?

Make sure that you're in the North American regional version of the Blizzard Store. The regional version from which you place an order determines the origin for shipping purposes. You can change your current store region with the drop-down menu on the top right. Note that changing only the language does not have any effect on the current region you are viewing.


Why hasn't my international order shipped yet?

Certain international orders may take more time to process due to the nature of international shipping rules and regulations.


Billing/Payment


What payment methods do you accept?

At this time, the Blizzard Store only accepts major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express). Additional payment methods may be added in the future.


Products/Services


What are digital downloads?

Certain Blizzard games can be purchased as digital downloads. Instead of purchasing a boxed retail copy of the game, the digital version gives you the ability to immediately download and play it on your computer as soon as you pay for the game.


How many times can I download a game?

You can download a game that has been registered to your account an unlimited number of times.
 

Can I designate an item as a gift?

You can only designate digital downloads as gifts. Doing so will send a transferable authentication key to the email address of your choice. For other products that you wish to gift to someone, simply add their address to your Address Book and send the order there.


Why are some games not available to be purchased as a digital download?

As this is a fairly new service, not all Blizzard Entertainment games may yet be available to download. However, we plan to make more titles available for digital download in the future.


Order Status


What do the various order status messages mean?

Here are the most common invoice statuses that appear on your order:

* Pending – The order is waiting to be sent to the shipping warehouse. This may be because the payment is still processing, or because we are waiting for inventory to become available. This is the only order state in which it is still possible to cancel an order for physical goods.

* Processed – The order information has been received by the shipping warehouse and the merchandise is being assembled for shipping. At this point, you may not cancel the order.

* Shipped – The carrier has picked up the packaged order, and a tracking number has been sent to Blizzard Entertainment.

These are some other status messages that may appear under certain conditions:

* Refund - The order status has been set to be refunded to the customer.

* Canceled – The order has been canceled by the customer while it was in the Pending stage.


When do I get automated emails?

You should receive an email notification when an order you placed is submitted, shipped, refunded, or canceled.


Returns/Cancellations


How do I return something I purchased from the Blizzard Store?

The way you return an order depends on whether the order is in your possession at the time you wish to return it.

If you have not yet received the order, you should refuse the package when the carrier attempts delivery. The carrier will return the order to our warehouse, where it will be processed as a return. Your payment method will then be credited with the purchase amount.

If you have received and opened the order that you wish to return, you must mail the items you wish to return to the provided return address along with a note, which includes your Purchase Order Number, explaining the reason for return. For complete information and instructions, please see Order Returns.


Does the order have to be in a certain condition for me to return it?

Games must be returned new and unopened in their original sealed box. Other types of products must be in an "as new" condition, meaning not materially damaged, used, worn, or modified. If the return is in a suitable condition, we will refund your purchase price and sales tax. Please note that we cannot refund shipping charges.


Under what conditions can I cancel an order?

If the order is for physical goods and is in the Pending state, it can be canceled through the Order Details page. Orders in any other state cannot be canceled. Orders for digital goods also cannot be canceled, because they are delivered immediately upon purchase.
