Account Expiration Information
Inactive accounts are deleted at regular intervals. If you create a new account, you must be logged into Battle.net long enough (either in one session, or spread over several) to have accumulated 2 hours of time within the first 48 hours. After that, your account will remain active so long as you continue to log into this account once every three months.
After three months the account will go into an 'expired' status, at which time anyone else can create a new account using this now available account name. The servers also run routine maintenances which may also delete expired accounts. If an account has truly expired and been removed, or re-used such as mentioned above then it will not be recoverable.
