Blizzard Downloader Troubleshooting



If you have problems with the Blizzard Downloader or problems downloading with the new Launcher when downloading a patch, please look over the notes we offer on our Blizzard Downloader FAQ, as well as the troubleshooting information below.

- Are you receiving an error that says "It appears that you are behind a firewall"?

- Is the Blizzard Launcher patch download stopping at, or less than 10%?

- Are you getting the data at an unusually low speed?

- Is the downloader having problems connecting to the tracker?

- Are you receiving the error "Your network card is running an out of date driver"?

- Are you receiving a "Could not initialize storage" or "Downloader is already downloading to that location" error?

- Are you receiving an error telling you that your "download may be corrupt"?

- Is the downloader application or your computer itself experiencing crashes or freezes or  Does the downloader cause your computer to become extremely sluggish and unresponsive?

- Are you receiving an error that says "Blizzard Downloader has encountered a problem and needs to close"?

- Have you tried all of the above options?
As a last resort, you can try downloading the patch manually from a mirror site.
