Suggested settings for ZoneAlarm® Pro Firewall
This document assumes you already have the ZoneAlarm® Pro Firewall installed and will just cover setting up access for Blizzard Games. We will use Diablo II as our example application but any of our games will suffice. You will need to repeat these steps for each Blizzard Entertainment game you have installed.
Adding the game to ZoneAlarm® Pro:
Start by opening ZoneAlarm® Pro
- Click on the
Start button
- Select
Programs
- Select
Zone Labs
- Select
Zone Alarm Pro
- Click on the
Program Control tab
- Click on the
Programs tab
If the game is not already listed:
- Click on the
Add button
- Search for the game name (in this case we are using Diablo II) and double-click on it
- Search for the game executable (Diablo II.exe) and double-click on it
- Click on each
? under the Access and Server headings and select the
Allow option
Configuration of ZoneAlarm® Pro Firewall:
- Click on the newly-added program (Diablo II)
- Click on
Options
- Click on
Allow access for ONLY the ports and protocols checked below
- Click on the
Add button
- Click on
DNS servers
Opening port 4000 for TCP and UDP (in the case of World of Warcraft this should be 3724):
- Click on the
Add button
and select
Custom
- Fill in the
Description with
Blizzard Entertainment #1
- Fill in the
Ports fields with
4000 to
4000
- Leave the checkmarks in both
TCP Ports and UDP Ports enabled
- Click
OK
Opening port 6112 through 6119 for TCP and UDP:
- Click on the
Add button
and select
Custom
- Fill in the
Description with
Blizzard Entertainment #2
- Fill in the
Ports fields with
6112 to
6119
- Leave the checkmarks in both
TCP Ports and UDP Ports enabled
- Click
OK
Your settings for the game should now appear like the image.
