Which patch should I use?
- If you have installed the StarCraft: Brood War, you only need to download and apply the patch listed under "[Expansion]".
- If you have not installed the StarCraft: Brood War, you only need to download and apply the patch listed under "[Original]".
- If you are looking for old patches please check here [Expansion] or here [Original].
- If you encounter any errors while patching please check the troubleshooting page.
Please note: By installing the latest patch all previous updates will also be installed.
If you have registered the game on our http://www.battle.net/ website, you can download the game from there. This client installer is usually updated with a current version of the game which requires minimal patching (if any) after installation.

Special Note for OSX users: You can use our
