Suggested settings for BlackICE Firewall
Note: You will need to have BlackICE installed and running prior to following these steps.
To get access to the program's options do the following:
- Click on the Start button.
- Go to Programs.
- Go to Network ICE and select BlackICE Utility.
- Click on tools and select Advanced Firewall Settings.
Opening port 4000 for UDP:
- Click the "Add..." button.
- Remove the check mark from the All Ports box.
- Fill in the following fields:
- Name:
Blizzard Entertainment1
- Port:
4000
- Set the Type field to "UDP".
- Set the Mode to "Accept".
- Set the Duration of Rule to "Forever".
- Click the "Add" button.
Opening port 4000 for TCP:
- Click the "Add..." button.
- Remove the check mark from the All Ports box.
- Fill in the following fields:
- Name:
Blizzard Entertainment2
- Port:
4000
- Set the Type field to "TCP".
- Set the Mode to "Accept".
- Set the Duration of Rule to "Forever".
- Click the "Add" button.
Opening port 6112 through 6119 for UDP:
- Click the "Add..." button.
- Remove the check mark from the All Ports box.
- Fill in the following fields:
- Name:
Blizzard Entertainment3
- Port:
6112-6119 (no spaces between the numbers and the -)
- Set the Type field to "UDP".
- Set the Mode to "Accept".
- Set the Duration of Rule to "Forever".
- Click the "Add" button.
Opening port 6112 through 6119 for TCP:
- Click the "Add..." button.
- Remove the check mark from the All Ports box.
- Fill in the following fields:
- Name:
Blizzard Entertainment4
- Port:
6112-6119 (no spaces between the numbers and the -)
- Set the Type field to "TCP".
- Set the Mode to "Accept".
- Set the Duration of Rule to "Forever".
- Click the "Add" button.
After clicking the Add button you should have 4 new entries which resemble the following screenshot:
