Installing the network protocol(s)

Before installing a network protocol, check the products you plan to use to find out what protocol(s) they require then install the appropriate protocol(s).

Installing the IPX network protocol:

- Windows 95/98/ME
- Windows NT 4.0
- Windows 2000
- Windows XP
- Mac OS


Installing the TCP/IP network protocol:

- Windows 95/98/ME
- Windows NT 4.0
- Windows 2000
- Windows XP
- Mac OS


Installing other Mac OS networking protocols:

- AppleTalk
- UDP/IP


Testing the network:

- Testing the network using DirectPlay
- Testing the network using IPX
- Testing the network using TCP/IP
