My character is not saving the items I found or the experience I gained?
This information is for single player and Open Battle.net characters only.
Make sure the save game files are not set to READ ONLY:
Windows:
- Open the folder where you installed to (default:
C:\Program Files\Diablo II).
- Open the
save folder (located inside the install folder).
- Select your
*.d2s character file. (Example:
Conan.d2s).
- Right-click on the
*.d2s file and select
Properties.
- Uncheck the
read only box, press
Ok, and try the game again.
Mac OS 9:
- Open the folder where you installed to.
- Select the
save folder.
- Select the
Get Info menu item from the
File menu.
- Look for a check box labeled
locked.
- Click on the check box to remove the check mark and try the game again.
Mac OS X:
- Open the folder where you installed to.
- Select the
save folder.
- Select the
Show Info menu item from the
File menu.
- Look for a check box labeled
locked.
- Click on the check box to remove the check mark.
- Click on the
General Information choice bar.
- Select the
Privileges choice item.
- Click on the
Everyone choice Bar.
- Select the
Read&Write choice item.
- Click on the
Apply button and try the game again.
