The power to annihilate a planet is insignificant when compared to the power of information. Nothing exemplifies this maxim more than the brilliantly executed program of inspiration, indoctrination, and admonition that has been unleashed over the course of this propaganda art contest. Indeed, the results have been truly impressive, but now the contest has drawn to a close. The votes have been counted and the time has come to recognize 11 propagandists whose efforts have most swayed the hearts and minds of their peers. The official StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty Soundtrack is now available for purchase and download on the iTunes Store (www.iTunes.com). This special iTunes LP features 14 orchestral pieces from the game, along with bonus materials including a behind-the-scenes video interview about the creation of Wings of Liberty’s epic score. The complete LP is available for $9.99, or you can purchase individual tracks for 99 cents each. The highly anticipated release of StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty has nearly arrived. On July 27, 2010 (that's midnight tonight!) you will be able to purchase the game, dive into its epic single-player campaign, and compete online via Battle.net. We've put together this handy overview of all the different ways to get StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty so you know how to get started. Just find the scenario that matches your preference below, and you'll be off to the Koprulu sector in no time!
  • I want to go buy the game in a store: If you plan to purchase StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty at a game retailer, be sure to check whether there are any midnight release events near you. You can get your copy once midnight rolls around, after which you'll need to activate it via Battle.net Account Management.
  • I want to buy a digital copy: Digital sales of StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty will be available several hours after retail sales begin. Check the digital sales page to learn when they will begin in your region.
  • I want to buy a boxed copy from the Blizzard store or other online retailer: You will be able to buy boxed copies of StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty from the Blizzard store at the same time digital sales become available. Once you have received your game and installed it, you'll need to activate your copy before you can dive in.

Want to experience the panel discussions, tournaments, game-related announcements, and all the excitement of BlizzCon from the comfort of your own home? The BlizzCon Virtual Ticket multi-channel Internet stream is now available to order around the world for $39.95 USD (pricing may vary by region). In addition, new DIRECTV subscribers in the United States who sign up for DIRECTV service between now and September 24 through www.blizzard.directv.com will receive this year's BlizzCon Virtual Ticket coverage for free. Existing DIRECTV customers will be able to purchase the event on DIRECTV Pay Per View for $39.95 beginning October 9.

Anyone who orders the event will also receive this year's BlizzCon-exclusive World of Warcraft in-game item. In addition, for the first time, BlizzCon 2010 Virtual Ticket holders will have access to exclusive BlizzCon merchandise.
