Oct 18, 2010 BlizzCon 2010 Begins This Week
Are you ready for BlizzCon 2010? Blizzard Entertainment's two-day gaming festival begins this Friday, October 22, at the Anaheim Convention Center. The sold-out show features developer discussion panels, top-tier tournament competition, the popular costume and dance contests hosted by Jay Mohr, an epic closing concert starring Tenacious D, and much more.

You can still join us from home by purchasing a BlizzCon Virtual Ticket, featuring more than 50 hours of live HD coverage as well as the exclusive BlizzCon 2010 World of Warcraft pet and StarCraft II in-game items. Oct 17, 2010 Official Cataclysm Cinematic Trailer Revealed
The official World of Warcraft: Cataclysm cinematic trailer is now available. With a seething hatred for the established order of the kingdoms of Azeroth, Deathwing is set to shatter the world in a destructive return from the Elemental Plane. Pain and agony are his tools as he prepares to watch Azeroth burn and quake. On December 7 players will have the opportunity to explore a world forever changed in the wake of his cataclysmic return. This is the way the world ends, and it's most certainly with a bang.
Oct 15, 2010 2010 Pumpkin Contest: The Hollowing
As a part of a longstanding Blizzard Entertainment tradition, we are pleased to announce our eighth annual pumpkin-carving contest. We're putting out a call to all talented carvers to sharpen their spoons and hollow out a fantastic, frightening, or just plain funny pumpkin inspired by the Warcraft, StarCraft, or Diablo game universes.

We will be accepting pumpkin contest entries between 11:00 a.m. PDT on October 15 and 11:59 p.m. PDT on October 27. Those who submit the most outstanding photos of their work will have their pictures proudly displayed on our community websites. In addition, the crafters of the five most interesting, original, and well-carved pumpkin designs will each be recognized for their merits with a 64 GB iPad™!

This Sunday, during the Dallas Cowboys versus Minnesota Vikings NFL game on Fox (starts at 4:15 PM EDT, 1:15 PM PDT), we are debuting a new television commercial for World of Warcraft's upcoming expansion. The commercial will feature the first look at cinematic footage from Cataclysm, so tune in to an exciting game this Sunday and catch the new commercial!

We're awestruck to announce that Tenacious D will take the stage at BlizzCon 2010 to close out two days of epic entertainment!

Although tickets to the convention are sold out, you can still catch all of the panels and events, including Tenacious D's performance, with BlizzCon Virtual Ticket. online or via DIRECTV in the United States. The Virtual Ticket multi-channel Internet stream allows viewers to switch between multiple channels of live HD coverage dedicated to different areas of the show.
