Battle.net is looking for a highly organized and enthusiastic producer with outstanding communication skills and a demonstrated aptitude for project management.

The Battle.net team delivers a diverse array of services and products to Blizzard customers: 

Battle.net Account and Game Sites - all aspects of the Blizzard Entertainment web presence, from flashy product marketing web sites to mission critical account-related applications, and everything in between.

Battle.net Mobile - bringing security options, increased player connection, and Blizzard Entertainment’s amazing game features to mobile devices.

Battle.net Game Service - a full-featured online game service that delivers the ultimate social and competitive experience for Blizzard Entertainment gamers everywhere.

Battle.net App – developing the next-generation Battle.net desktop client.

Battle.net Distribution - installing and patching, downloading, client streaming, cross-platform code, and low-level platform code (file systems, memory management, networking, etc.).

The ideal candidate must be capable of communication regarding design and technical tasks, love the act of planning, enjoy working inside a flexible team-oriented environment, be versed in project management styles and processes, and be utterly devoted to delivering quality products on time.  Self-direction and follow-up skills are a must, as well as the ability to anticipate production issues and find effective solutions.

Responsibilities

• Act as a project leader, and champion a consistent, organized process.    Participate in creating and improving pipelines and processes to improve team productivity and reduce risk to the schedule.
• Provide motivation and direction to ensure that project goals, objectives, milestones, and deliverables are achieved.
• Identify, track, manage, and resolve project issues.
• Ensure that solutions are of acceptable quality.
• Work with other producers to determine resources necessary to see projects through to completion.
• Gather, document, and organize business, functional, and creative requirements for new projects from project stakeholders.
• Follow change management processes to capture change requests, communicate impact, request stakeholder decisions, and execute changes if applicable.
• Coordinate, track, and manage the activities of project resources to ensure that project tasks are completed on time, within scope, and at acceptable quality.
• Contribute to a positive work environment and a healthy team culture.
• Handle other duties as may be assigned. 

Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years’ of experience in a production role
• Skill in risk assessment and management
• Strong understanding of software development processes, and project management methodologies
• Proven experience managing schedules and project resources to achieve desired results
• Exceptional verbal and written communications skills in English
• Unrelenting self-motivation and initiative
• A passion for video games
• A passion for organization and planning

Pluses

• Agile development exposure or Scrum Master certification
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
